GOD’S PEACE

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

In this rocky and chaotic world peace is often hard to find, but God promises that those who turn to Him can have a peace that goes beyond all human understanding.

Peace with God comes the very moment you place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ to be your savior. You are reconciled to God. It is similar to the signing of a peace treaty for you are no longer God’s enemy living in sin; you are at peace with Him and a new relationship has been established. It is instantaneous and can never be erased, diminished or reversed.

A CELEBRATION OF COMMITMENT

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

This morning I was privileged to attend a baptismal celebration. Celebration? Yes, it was a celebration of the commitment by three young people taking the next step of faith in their walk with Jesus Christ. Each one made it clear that he/she had trusted Christ as Savior and that it was his/her desire to be identified with Christ and follow Him every day.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

QuarterJust recently I saw that old saying written somewhere, “Your life is the only Bible some people will ever read. It reminded me of an inspiring story that I’d like to share with you now.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

A LIFE WELL LIVED

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

A friend of ours died this week. His name was Phil and he was only 45 years old. This sudden tragic loss for his family and friends was a total shock for everyone.

Sergeant Phil served 22 years as a police officer and was well-known and liked in his community. He had a reputation for caring for others and for speaking out for what he believed in.

“Phil was a great man. He was the kind of person everybody liked or at least respected. He was never unkind, although he was very bold to speak out for the truth and for what was right.
